Will my bank block or delay my payment?
What to expect when sending money to Stacked
Most payments to Stacked go through without issue. In some cases, your bank may delay or review a payment, particularly if it is large or unusual for your account.
This is part of standard bank fraud and scam protection.
Why banks sometimes delay payments
Banks monitor payments to help protect customers from scams and unauthorised activity.
A payment may be flagged if:
- The amount is larger than usual
- The payment is to a new recipient
- The transaction pattern is different from your normal behaviour
This does not mean there is anything wrong with your payment. It simply means your bank wants to confirm that it is legitimate.
What happens if a payment is checked
If your bank reviews a payment, they may:
- Ask you to confirm the payment
- Temporarily delay or hold the transfer
- Contact you directly
Once confirmed, the payment will usually be processed as normal.
How to reduce the chance of delays
- Start with a smaller payment if this is your first time using Stacked
- Use open banking options where available
- Send from a bank account in your own name
Important
Stacked will never contact you to request your bank login details, passwords, or authentication codes.
If your bank contacts you about a payment, you can confirm that you are sending funds to Stacked.
